POSITION SUMMARY

KP Contracting, LLC is looking for a Project Manager (Intern) who is fueled by ambition and is looking for something more than a college degree can provide. We need a growth-minded person looking for the opportunity to grow personally and financially within a rapidly growing company. As our Project Manager Intern, you'll play a crucial role in delivering results while upholding and enhancing our positive workplace. You'll work with a team of talented individuals who are all committed to excellence and driven to massive success.


The project Manager Intern will learn to coordinate multiple crews that build luxury outdoor living projects such as decks, paver patios, hardscapes, outdoor kitchens, plunge pools, water features, and other landscaping features in Charles, North St. Mary's, and PG Counties. The intern will learn how to ensure the correct materials are on hand for each crew, schedule the work, coordinate crew assignments, obtain quality control, coordinate all efforts with the customer, and ensure that each project is completed on time and budget. The motivated and successful candidate will have the opportunity to rise in the company as a Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, Director of Operations, and even Partner.

OBJECTIVES

  • Coordinate, manage, and lead multiple crews at multiple work locations at the direction of the Project Manager
  • Schedule and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring that each one is completed on time and within budget at the direction of the Project Planner.
  • Maintain and cultivate great relationships with clients, ensuring they are informed and satisfied throughout the process
  • Ensure that all projects meet high-quality standards
  • Work with the company owner to develop and execute new strategies
  • Ensure all work sites are neat and orderly and remove excess materials and debris

COMPETENCIES

  • Basic understanding of construction practices and techniques a plus
  • A driven personality with the ability to learn how to lead teams to success and oversee complex projects
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity and ability to use standard computer applications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma required
  • Work experience that demonstrates a desire to work hard and learn fast.
  • Experience in the landscape and hardscape industry a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to spend prolonged periods standing, sitting, or walking
  • Ability to spend prolonged periods using and interacting with a computer

Compensation

  • $36,000 - $45,000 Based on experience
